NoteLLM Pro: What You Get with the Premium Plan
A breakdown of NoteLLM Pro features and what makes the upgrade worth it.
Free vs Pro: What Changes
NoteLLM works out of the box without paying anything. You get local voice recognition, basic note management, and multi-language support on the free tier. But the Pro plan unlocks capabilities that matter if voice notes are a regular part of your workflow.
What Pro Includes
Cloud Recognition
The most significant Pro feature is cloud-based speech recognition. Cloud models are larger and more accurate than on-device models, particularly in challenging conditions like background noise, accented speech, or domain-specific vocabulary. If you are taking meeting notes in a busy office or dictating technical content, cloud recognition makes a noticeable difference.
Extended Recording
Free tier recordings have a time limit. Pro removes that restriction, allowing you to record lectures, interviews, or long brainstorming sessions without worrying about hitting a cap.
Priority Processing
When using cloud recognition, Pro subscribers get priority in the processing queue. During peak usage times, this means shorter wait times between finishing a recording and seeing the transcription.
All Platforms
Your Pro subscription works across iPhone, iPad, Mac (Apple Silicon), and Apple Vision Pro. One subscription covers all your devices, and your notes sync across them.
Pricing
NoteLLM Pro is available at two price points:
- Monthly: $9.99/month
- Yearly: $99.99/year (equivalent to $8.33/month)
The yearly plan saves you roughly two months compared to paying monthly. Both options include a 3-day free trial, so you can test every Pro feature before committing.
Is It Worth It
That depends on how you use voice notes. If you take one or two quick notes a week in a quiet room, the free tier will serve you well. Local recognition handles that scenario perfectly.
Pro becomes worth it when any of these apply:
- You record in noisy or unpredictable environments.
- You need higher transcription accuracy for professional use.
- You regularly record sessions longer than a few minutes.
- You work across multiple Apple devices and want seamless sync.
No Lock-In
If you subscribe and later decide Pro is not for you, your existing notes remain fully accessible. Downgrading to the free tier does not delete anything. You simply lose access to Pro-only features going forward.
The Trial
The 3-day free trial activates when you first subscribe. During those three days, you have full access to every Pro feature. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. This gives you enough time to test cloud recognition in your actual environment and decide whether the accuracy improvement justifies the cost.
Try it with a real use case, not a test sentence. Record a meeting, dictate a long email, or transcribe a lecture. That is the best way to judge whether Pro fits your needs.
