Note Management
Search, edit, and organize your voice notes
Your Notes, Organized
Every voice recording you make in NoteLLM becomes a note that you can search, edit, and organize. The note management system is designed to be simple and fast, so you spend more time capturing ideas and less time filing them.
Viewing Notes
All your notes are displayed in a chronological list, with the most recent notes at the top. Each note shows:
- The title or first line of the transcription.
- The date and time the recording was made.
- A preview of the transcribed text.
Tap any note to open it and see the full transcription.
Searching Notes
As your collection of notes grows, the built-in search feature helps you find what you need quickly. Type a keyword or phrase into the search bar, and NoteLLM filters your notes in real time to show only those containing your search term.
Search looks through the full text of all your notes, so you can find content even if you do not remember when you recorded it.
Editing Notes
After a note has been transcribed, you can edit the text at any time:
- Open the note you want to edit.
- Tap the text to enter editing mode.
- Make your changes -- fix typos, add punctuation, restructure sentences, or add additional context.
- Your changes are saved automatically.
Editing is useful for cleaning up transcription errors or adding context that was not spoken aloud. For example, you might add a heading, insert a name that was not recognized correctly, or append a follow-up thought.
Organizing Notes
NoteLLM provides tools to keep your notes organized:
- Delete notes you no longer need to keep your list clean.
- Review by date to find notes from a specific time period.
- Use search to quickly locate notes by content rather than scrolling through the list.
Best Practices
- Review notes soon after recording. Transcriptions are most useful when reviewed while the context is still fresh in your mind. A quick review lets you catch and fix any recognition errors.
- Keep notes focused. One topic per recording makes notes easier to find and reference later.
- Delete regularly. Remove notes you no longer need to keep your collection manageable.
- Use descriptive first sentences. Since the first line of the transcription serves as the note preview, starting with a clear topic sentence makes browsing easier.
